Leonard Cronin

Leonard CroninLeonard began his career studying Biological Sciences at University of Sussex, England, under the supervision of Prof. Maynard Smith, originator of the revolutionary Selfish Gene Theory. He became an honours graduate and went on to do a post graduate in education. After teaching Biology for 2 years he joined Marshall Cavendish publishers in London, where he researched and wrote biology articles for their partworks.

He moved to Australia in 1976 and was editor for numerous publishers such as Readers Digest, Lansdowne Press and ACP, as well as writing articles for magazines and encyclopaedias.

Leonad has travelled extensively throughout Australia researching our flora and fauna for the Key Guide series and several other books. He has been a regular columnist for Gardening Australia magazine for the past 3 years.
